How slow was Burton going when he took off? He was already sliding forever.

That car was going way too slow for a takeoff. Very concerning.

Flipperz aside, I feel for Harrison Burton. Dunno wtf the veterns were thinking but they pushing the shit out of him and overdoing it the last several laps. Cant count how many times I saw him save a near-wreck coming out of turn 2 and 4.

Holy shit, is this car....MORE blowoverable than the old one?

GJ NASCAR

I've been worried about the flat bottom making it easier for that to happen. That car was sideways a long time and bled off a lot of speed and still took flight pretty easily. I get that it was being hit and shoved at the time which contributes to it, but even then that was something it feels like the older gen cars could easily handle and stay grounded.

Wasn't even getting any help when it decided to lift.

Trust NASCAR to devise a set of regulations to try and eliminate blowovers and end up making them worse.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Probably doesn't help the car is built like an early 90s racing champions die cast underneath nowhere for the air to go of course your going to have lift

Whoever is directing this race for Fox is an idiot. See the wreck starting from the bumper cam and then cut to the crowd and then to a couple of cars involved in the wreck. The wreck was definitely the result of a bump draft gone wrong.

Second roof flap never came up...

That said, I'd have never expected that to happen... Concerning, but not panic mode yet...

We get a few more cars airborne and then it's panic time.

I didn't get to watch the duels but I just watched the highlights. I'm sticking by my theory that the racing is going to suck this year as they work out the kinks/get some more practical time to analyze the racing. Curious as to what this weekend is going to bring. But if that is true about the roof flaps/hinged bumper thing and that means that no cars will ever get airborne again I'm never gonna watch NASCAR again /s (kinda)

it means no blowovers. so don't worry, there are other ways to get flipperz

Blowovers confirmed

Yeah, really. That yellow rookie stripe is there for a reason. It's not decorative.

I still don't like the repair clock. I get the getting rid of the full spare front ends but giving them a time limit is just shit.

Ironically, if they had stayed on Hamlin's bumper for like 2-3 more seconds, they would've at least shown Burton flipping live (From a less desirable angle, mind you, but still).
