Not sure Haas or Ferrari want someone in that seat who could actually threaten Mick.

I don't think Ferrari's end game for Mick is to have him toil around at the back of the field. I would think their end goal is to groom him to do well at the sharp end of the grid. And after what he showed in his rookie year, I think pairing him up with someone like Giovinazzi would be in both Ferrari and Mick's best interests as Gio would be a good benchmark for him and work on taking a step forward from last year, but also someone that isn't that quick that he'll completely blow Mick out of the water and shatter any confidence built up last year.

if that thing had happened 30 years ago, Roberto Moreno would be top choice to fill the seat

but since he's long retired, could it be the 21st century Roberto Moreno, that is Nico Hulkenberg

Haas will take someone with money, not experience.

At least Moreno was on the F1 podium once... Moreno > Hulkenberg

Moreno also won two CART races. That's twice as many CART wins as Nico's single Le Mans win.

The choice for Haas is obvious :flag:

and also one pole position start for an average team at the time, plus having tested the new tires and have some good mileage in the new spec in comparison to other drivers seeking the spot

Nice, the GT R gets swapped out for the GT Black Series, and the C 63 S estate gets swapped out for a GT 63 S.

Latest rumor from Brasil is that Pietro cant get the funds and that Hulkenberg will get the seat.

Predicting now: We'll have some crazy race where Hulk runs p3 and Mick runs p4 and in the last lap or so Hulk retires, Mick gets p3 and we'll see Hulk doing a Badoer/Minardi impersonation. :whistling:

that if they could go for a podium haha

thought Haas already had a podium finish but the top teams and the lack of unreliability keeps them away

Make that 13th and 14th, if 6 drivers retired already.

Haas will not finish the season.

Especially if Gene failed to read his contract with Mazepin properly before tearing it up.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Haas F1 tripled the sales of Haas CNC in Europe. Gene makes enough money on the team so far. If UralKali is owed money they will get it.

If Gene didnt want to lose money on the team anymore, he would have taken one of the many offers Andretti made or would have sold to Mazepin Sr. already.

A few weeks ago I was just as worried but with everything coming out lately I'm convinced they will finish the season without money issues. 2021 was simply a year where they decided to spent nothing since the 2021 rules got pushed back to 2022.

In that case Gene probably pays him triple and tells him to fuck off with his $15.

Saturday: destroys the car, ruins teammate's best lap.

Sunday: "This is the worst experience I've ever had in a race car, ever"
