another funny thing is that the final race at Sochi will be that chaotic rain that denied Lando's first victory and allowed precious points for Max Verstappen

The way F1 worded it, if Putin achieves his goals and installs his puppet into Ukraine by May/June, there'll still be a Russian GP in September because the war will be over
And even if it is cancelled for this year, we have a new track being built for 2023 so expect it to still be on the calender

It says a LOT that the country that thinks Saudi Arabia is ok is pulling out of Russia though :whistling:

Does it? The only reason the race is cancelled is because the logistics, particularly the logistics around paying the promotor's fee, have become impossible.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Slipstream is only relevant on the straights, being able to follow closer will hopefully benefit in the corners so in that case it´s still a win.

Leclerc said that between 3-1 seconds it's a bit better, 1-0.5 seconds is about the same but that 0.5 and lower is a lot better than before.

If you're following closer, the slipstream doesn't have to be as powerful, George, because there's always going to be some when following any kind of car down a straight.
Besides, the DRS is there for the straight line stuff, its keeping closer in the corners that's important

Somehow I think he doesn't quite understand the science behind it all lol

Close in corners=more chances of cool, outside line sort of passes

Slipstream in straight line=boring, Kemmel straight sort of drive by passes...

Ikr, seems like a classy beautiful lady. Still wonder how close her and Lewis really are.

Apparently she is married and has 2 kids. She always gives me that stereotypical view of a wallflower super smitten by the guy who just sees her as a good friend

I've read that too, and I get that people like to keep their family life private, but it seems like her husband at the very least is nowhere to be found on her social media.

I think you are right about her, because I was really picking up the vibes, but it seemed like from both of them, but maybe just from her, but at the risk of coming off as some fanfic girl, it was playing out in my head that secretly they are a thing but keeping it professional and on the DL because of her role as his trainer and as soon as he retires it would come out and they could settle down together (I'm so pathetic, lol)

Anyway, not even a Lewis fan, but I just picked up this genuine affection between them, but they are also in the trenches together, so to speak. But yeah, total MILF.

maybe George is facing some issues because Mercedes concieves their car to work better on clean air, while Red Bull does it to perform while behind opposition

for Lewis is quite easy to grab pole and storm ahead but for the other Mercedes is quite an issue

It would be awesome if reduced slipstream results in less effective DRS, but this is F1 so we'll end up with it somehow being twice as effective :flag:

New Alfa looks like a rough clone of Marlboro McLaren, like you might see in Automobilista or something :D

Or they dipped into their own history! I'd put this up with Ferrari as the best looking on the grid this year. Image

If Haas doesn´t drop Mazepin because he is worthless when he no longer brings Russian money, then he might be banned from racing anyway as FIA is investigating if they should take away all Russian licenses.
