ah il sogno diventa realtà

scarlet red with black wings, I really hope this one wins at least once

to be more perfect, only if they put tire supplier logos in the rear wing

The Ferrari somehow looks modern and vintage at the same time. Absolutely stunning.

The main news is not that Masi has gotten another position, in case anyone wonders.

It is a step in the right direction, but not enough just yet. I for one was never against the principle that race direction could be a bit flexible in ensuring that the race could end under green. Having a "quickie caution" as in American racing in the rules would be good. Or just anything that says that it is in race directions discretion to ensure a green flag finish, including not allowing lapped cars by or just a few of them.

Great that team principals can't shout at the race director anymore, that was at the heart of the integrity issues the FIA had last year. Wolff and whoever it was at Red Bull should have been thrown out head first from the paddock at Silverstone already for trying to manipulate race direction. Almost as vile as the Juventus scandal ca 2004.

Just lets see what the new unlapping procedure will actually be.

wouldn't really mind, but IMO the best way would be none at all. If you are lapped then why should you get anything for free?`

Same with blue flags really. If you are on the lead lap, why should you get anything for free?

Going back to the last page and the 'news' about Michael Masi, I continue to really feel sorry for him. Poor bloke's been made a scapegoat for a broken system. He's got Toto in one ear, Wheatley in the other, Liberty in both, and at the same time he's expected to run a motor race to the extent that it's him that drops the headphones and jumps into a car to check the barriers when someone goes through them. It's quite clearly, fucking insane.

But I suppose people prefer to have an individual to blame because twitter experts or reddit analysts or sky news pundits or sensationalist journalists for shitty tabloid rags won't get the attention they crave if they're talking about a faceless organisation. MASI HAS TO GO gets you a lot more likes than "FIA continues to be incompetent", I guess.

I just wanted to quote this because it is relevant and well put.

It begs the question as to why Herbie wasn't asked back to assist when Masi was given the job in the first place. Seems a bit unfair to boot him out at the same time that they acknowledge that the system of race control was not up to standard.

It also gives the impression that Mercedes' pressure has borne fruit, which is not a precedent the FIA wants to be setting. What do you think Red Bull will do the next time Garry Connelly rules against Verstappen over some alleged infraction?

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

This might not be good. Ferrari doesn't have a good history when it comes to interesting sidepod designs

I feel bad for Masi. I think he would have liked being a race director in the 90s, when their role was basically unknown to public.
Who paid attention to what Roger Lane-Nott did as a race director? But in the current social media era, every single decision you do gets so much public attention, that it really requires certain type of personality to be able to cope with the pressure.

But while I don't doubt Masi couldn't handle the pressure, I still feel he was making too many mistakes, and annoyingly, was often arrogant with his outcomes. More than once we heard him say how FIA and he himself is always orrect, even though in retrospect we know that wasn't the case.

So, if the upcoming season wasn't interneting enough already, new race direction will certainly add unpredictability. Also weird to have Herbie Blash back. He's 73, so I don't why he agreed to return. Maybe he won't attend races but will give consultant via Zoom or something.

I don*t think having two race directors alternating will improve consistency in the calls.

Not only that, but I love that they're using that dark scarlet red of previous years, instead of that ugly day glow orange shade of red. What a beauty!

Only thing missing on the Ferrari is the yellow squares on one of the cars.

This is the first ferrari F1 car I find beautiful since I've been watching F1 (1998 first full season). It reminds me of the 1991 car which is my favorite Ferrari f1 car. Finally some decent colors and shape.
