If I was Red Bull I’d serious consider calling in all 4 cars and then release a press release saying it’s useless to race on like this

It's practice for 2022, where he will be starting in traffic all the time

Make Perez block Lewis later in the stint, just do it.

If he doesn't improve fast, Mercedes may fire him at the end of the season :8:

Max had the freedom to make that move because he knows a collision between them benefits him in the championship.
So he just didn't brake and was willing to push Lewis off, Lewis wasn't having any of it and got out of there.
Seems fair enough to me

Lewis should not have braked so late. That would've been the proper way to get out of there.

He gave it later, by the last sector Max was in his gearbox.

If we're being honest though, Lewis flew away enough to prevent any attack in the following straight. Not a "lasting" advantage, but a blatant one.

This call makes sense in the context of this season, but as far as racing goes, this move was legit and having people defend like that is frustrating. Max deserves a share of his soup served to him in my personal opinion though.

At least Netflix got what they wanted. They can replay that one move from different angles for 50 minutes and call it an episode.

If there was gravel outside the turn Max would have been penalised for pushing Lewis off. As it is, there's arguments for penalising both, so they do nothing, all equal. Shame the race looks like it might be tedious now.

We might as well talk about "the incident" for the next 47 laps because that's all that'll happen

Now the race is on, the race is off lol

90% of this year "controversy" is thanks to tarmac runoffs

Max made a move to try to win the championship. He knew if he didn't make that move he wasn't going to have a chance. Yeah, it was very aggressive, but who WOULDN'T have made that move?

I think it's more that we finally reached the situation where drivers casually pushing others to the edge of the track has actually affected a championship battle and F1 has realised they've spent the last 20 years or so failing to do anything about it.

I've been saying this for years. This whole "safety" aspect of these run-offs is a complete mirage. I guess this is what the Americans running F1 want. Boring race tracks with tarmac run-offs and fake controversy. Maybe those mythical new fans are indeed so stupid to buy into this narrative.
