yes - could try a Android emulator like BlueStacks, that type of deal more used for mobile games but it might work (have had mixed results - either it be betting apps or the Trans-Am app last year)

Santucci confirmed at Rahal for the 500, and the team is aiming at 5 or 6 races in 2021 for that car, so my guess is that Ferrucci is not done with Indycar just yet.

Here is the link for the app:

https://www.indycar.com/mobile-app

They might be plain enough stream links that they can be sniffed from the app.

Edit: hmm, the ondemand videos including past "app exclusive" live streams are just embedded Youtube videos...

The 32 cars at the open test will include Karam in the DRR entry and Cody Ware trying to complete his ROP. The only confirmed driver\car pairing not taking part is Kimball in the 3rd Foyt entry.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

The highlight of this week's Mailbag is a treatise from Mike Hull on why oval races may have been less active over the past few years.

"We need to add efficient downforce to improve the racing..."

*sigh*

They'll just never get it.

Efficient is the key, here.

Only 6 races for Paul Tracy in the NBC booth this season. Diffey/Bell will be the regular pairing as NBC is cutting funds in their last season of IndyCar TV deal.

NBC has been infinitely better coverage than ABC was at the end. Please, for the love of all that is Holy, I hope they do not go back to that abysmal sham.

I'd rather they go to an exclusive streaming deal than go back to ABC/ESPN.

Tough to predict what happens next. If we consider Peacock as a viable option then they can still sign a new deal with NBC but only selected races will be on TV and some others stream-exclusive. Peacock is owned by NBC.

The big unknown remains what revenue NBC gets from the Olympics (if they actually happen).

The 500 will have a maximum capacity of 135,000.

--------------

One of the musings from the Mailbag is that Fox and CBS have tentative interest in the TV rights, although Miller is sceptical that they will be as generous to the series as NBC have been. Tangentially, Sunday's race mustered 914,000 viewers on NBC, which considering the clash with NASCAR seems a decent number.

Hopefully it was not just because of being JJ's first race.

Power has signed a new contract with Penske until the end of 2023, meaning that if Cindric decides that 4 cars is not the right fit for the team it will be Pagenaud getting the boot.

--------------

New or returning ovals are still being sought after.

NBC have changed their minds on limiting PT's presence this year and he will be at every race as opposed to the 6 that were planned.
