Well judging by the mass hysteria in Australia they probably won't be showing the Oz GP.

I've last seen that it was going on as planned, though according to some Aussie members on FerrariChat, the health ministry was having a meeting today on imposing new regulations. Did something come of that?

Vietnam has suspended visa free access for Italian citizens. They'll need a visa and will need to sign health declarations.

And Bahrain is denying entry for anyone who has visited Italy, Iraq, China, Hong Kong, Iran, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and S.Korea, 14 days prior to their arrival.

Now that's a logistic nightmare for the teams that use some of those countries as scale, to get to Bahrain from Melbourne. And members from the italian-based teams should leave the country really soon.

I'm not confident that the race will go ahead.

Most countries are in a difficult spot right now. Can they really risk making exceptions for F1 even if everyone at that point tests negative?
Even in places like Bahrein it will be a shitstorm if there is an outbreak related to the GP.

A cancellation might not be necessary perse but the risk of things going wrong is just too big to justify it.

the good news is that the world championship will have less races, the bad news is that Abu Dhabi (and Paul Ricard) will be safe no matter what

if they work together i'm sure they could create an acceptable compromise. like a 7 day quarantine and teams have to stay in their motorhomes/team areas. reduced media accessibility, etc.,

they were also saying that if some teams were absent they would still consider going ahead with the race, but designate it as a non-points event.

https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/14853 ... settlement

The 7 non-Ferrari teams came out with a joined statement demanding explanation from the FIA over the deal with Ferrari.
Hopefully they go all the way and just do a collective Start and park until the FIA comes clean.

FIA will then go totalitarian and issue fines to all the teams that complain about that

and dock points if they keep insisting

Well we might as well get some off-track drama since it's not likely we'll be getting much on track atm

Any time the FIA and Ferrari aren't being completely open about what they're doing will always lead to the same old "FIARARRI" speculation, so it was probably naive of the FIA to keep this behind closed doors

It all points to the fact that Ferrrari have been rumbled, but they don't want people to know just how stupid their cheating made the FIA look, or how long it went un-noticed for.
The FIA is trying to save face, it seems

Either that, or they want to keep the technical in reserve so if Merc are dominant again this year, they can say to Ferrari "Ok, you can run it again this year, give us a show!"

I'm not sure what's more amusing, FIA covering for Ferrari again, or the fact the car still didn't win jack shit.

Yeah, both hings.... aren't any amusing to me imo, on the contrary.

Specially after Ferrari could keep their choice to deny any rule change if they see fit.

the FIA responded.
IMHO, this should have been the first statement.

So due to the complexity of the cheating and lawyer speak, they decided that they couldn't actually get them even though they knew they cheated?

While Renault got disqualified for a system that was declared both completely legal and illegal at the same time? and they had been running for over a season? as well as being disqualified for a millisecond spike in power from running over a curb that had zero performance gain? (No wonder they are probably going to quit)

I'd wager a good bet that the FIA aren't smart enough to police their very own formula considering the only reason why an investigation was launched in the first place was because the other teams pretty much knew straight away what they were doing and bought it up. It wasn't the FIA that caught wind of it.
