So while every one is banging in the laps Renault are doing another 2 hour "driver swap".

Apparently the Renault is looking good.

Ocon claims it has experienced "the most grip he ever felt in a car". Others have said it looks very fast.

Ocon tested with Mercedes, right (other than sim work)? Because if not, he may just be saying that the 2018 Force India was shit, haha.

I doubt this. Most signals and rumours are that there are delays in crash testing, there's reliability issues and I've seen Ocon quoted as saying "It's a pretty decent base".

I can see Williams passing Renault this year. Yes I said that.

Renault will focus 100% on 2021. Especially if the 2020 car turns out to be a turd.

in 2019, all podium places were divided between the same 5 drivers, with only 3 exceptions (2x Toro Rosso, 1x McLaren). I doubt Williams and Renault will be anywhere close to a podium this year.

but is it powered if its done by hand?

Also, I get the feeling that this is to blatantly obvious that its used to hide something else. People will fume over this, it gets banned and the thing they really wanted on the car goes unnoticed for now.

Apparantly it applies to 10.4 in the rulebook and not 10.2. Wait and see.

Am I the only one wondering how save this actually is? The whole steering rack would be one of the last things I'd want to fail on the car and now its designed to move around. Just more things that can go wrong.

or how long it will take before the other teams use it, causing it to be banned before the end of the season.

RP said it would take about half a season for them apparently. So max 1/4 of a season for RBR and Ferrari.

since they are using this thing on broad daylight they're very aware it can get away

unless that gives Mercedes a huge advantage so it should be banned and they must be obliged to run Monza downforce on high downforce tracks and Monaco downforce at Monza and Spa
