Can we shrink one of the 1.5 mile tracks and make it into a short track? 6 short track races a year aren't enough. It sounds like I missed an exciting race.

Jesus Christ I hate Denny Hamlin.

Why is it drivers have zero respect for each other and clean racing anymore? Nobody can do a gentle tap on the bumper to loosen somebody up but give them a chance to fight for the position. They just bodyslam each other out of the way or wreck each other.

The cars are too stable. The geometry in them allow space for basically wiggle room when it gets out of shape. so when the car is hit, it stablizes. That and the old gen 4 had such a warped body, it would jack the car up in front lifting the rear wheels. These cars line up and just slam.

If there's a reason why fan access gets revoked at NASCAR races, look at that tweet and remember that fan's face.

I would also suggest screencap his face, blow it up (doesn't matter if it's pixelated or not) buy a dartboard (not soft tip, the actual cork dartboard), and attach the picture onto it. So that way, if you have a bad day, at least you have something to throw sharp, pointy objects at.

The racing and wrecking hasn't changed, it's the way they talk (and keep talking) about it afterwards that seems so... lame. I miss the drivers that after a wreck could give a wry smile or a few simple but telling words to the camera instead of getting all dramatic and overexplaining the issue like some sort of youtube monologue.

The Senior/Terry comparisons I think are a bit unfair to this situation. Chase has never won a race before, the bullshit championship format puts him in if he wins. Hamlin is in good shape too with a runner up finish but he flat out just dumps Elliot. It wasn't the last lap either. Look how Truex raced Busch. Last turn last lap, he could have easily gave Busch a bumper and won the race. He didn't though because he's not a a complete asshole. Dennie just channeled his inner Earl and wrecked someone who drove a solid race for reasons I don't know other than cocaine.
