Pop up showers expected all day today here in the Bristol area, which means it won't rain a drop till around 6:00 this evening therefore screwing the modified race to run short or late into the night.

Oh well, at least I have suite passes tonight, so I will stay dry and get to eat and have a cold one or two anyway.

even if it doesn't rain, NASCAR will find some sort of reason to shorten the Mod race.

Used to want to go to this race, but between the high chances of rain each year, and the VHT usually making the racing quality just a choo-choo train around the bottom. I don't think it's worth the 5 hour trip anymore for me.

It has been an unbelievably dry summer around here. I mowed the front yard for the first time in 4 weeks last Thursday. The back yard is still too brown and dry to mow. But now it's race week and it rained Monday, and rained most all day yesterday. Go figure.

Need dry weather? Have F1 come to town! Need rain? Have NASCAR come to town! It's almost as certain as death and taxes.

Need sleep? Choose either.

starting to rain off & on at the track according to several Twitter posts, lap 25-ish in the Mod race

I'm in the suites however they are racing on lap 46. Had a red flag for a 3 car crash on lap 10. No major hits just track blockage.

75 with a VERY hard hit between 3 and 4. Head on into the outside wall and then hit the barrels at the end of pit road.
