I'm sure Ferrari will be happy to join when they lose their historic team payment.

What would you do if you would be a (borderline) criminal with too much money to even start counting it? It's sad really. Just sad.

The Bernie breakaway Grand Prix series, starring Jaques Villeneuve, Eddie Irvine and all the other "it was better in my day" moaners that aren't short of a thing or two to say about modern F1

Winner is the driver who gets the most amount of press coverage for their idiotic comments.
Bonus points for flipping at Eau Rouge

I laughed when I heard the news of Bernie threatening a breakaway series already. It's ridiculous, but if it actually happens I'd guarantee we'd all watch it

Couple of teasers from McLaren and Renault:

If McLaren wheel out a black car again, I'm going to go and punch Woking.

Oh, and is that a different nose on the Renault?

Also, Santander accidentally revealed the name of the new Ferrari on Twitter - swiftly deleted, but I hope this is true:

Bernie Ecclestone, the founding father of Formula Bernie, has passed away aged 122. According to triple world champion Konrad Vettel, his last words were: "I've won the chase. Carey on!"

Renault confirms BP/Castrol as fuel and oil supplier

So legit question, would this mean that Red Bull will be running their own non Renault engine mapping software or whatever they use, to maximize the engines use of fuel, thus basically "developing" their own engine? They are after all using Exxon/Mobile fuel, not the Renault BP. Considering how the harmony between the fuel suppliers and the engine/software is now crucial, they would have to be wouldn't they?

It would be the closest thing to real life Mario Kart we'd ever see. Its seemingly where Bernie got most of his ludicrous suggestions.

I'd watch that

The last of the new for 2010 teams is gone. F1 failed big time.

From what I've gathered the current owner rejected the offer because it was too low. Feels like Prost all over again.
Can't believe people can be so stupid and greedy.
Sure, maybe the offer was low but its still more than he gets now and now lots of people are out of a job.

What a disgrace. A couple of cars fail to start and we have 15 cars starting grid, like in Australia 2015 which I consider the lowest point of F1.

The very first thing Liberty Media and Ross Brawn should do is open the search for new teams and correct the prize money system. Or even provide help and bonus money for new teams.

Don't put too much hope on a hypothetical Providential Man coming in to save the day. Even with the best intentions, you have to cope with other interests at play.

As far as I understand it, top teams/constructors are the reason why prize money is skewed towards the highest end of the grid, and why measures like budget caps are difficult to implement. The new management will have to deal with them and manage their discontent, pretty much like the former guy.

Not saying it's entirely impossible, but miracles don't exist and we only believe in them because politicians (in general, not just in sports) ingrained in us the idea that they can act and change things regardless of context.
