The 500 should be fine as it's live and all previous Xfinity & Truck races have been fine as well, despite being delayed coverage. I guess it was just this particular situation that was bad, and I hope it was a one-off.

The channel was showing a live NHL match at the same time the race was on, with the race being directly afterwards. They showed all of the pre-race show and up to the end of stage 2 but with all of the US ad breaks cut out, which isn't usually the case. A split second after the final stage went green they cut to the lap 83-86 caution (not to the incident itself, just the cars going around under yellow), went to a break, came back and it was suddenly the lap 100-104 caution (again, just the cars going around under yellow, not the incident). The restart with the #01 & #90 crash was cut but replays were shown, and the second attempt at overtime where Gallagher spun was also cut. Most of the yellow flag running and a fair bit of the red flag was shown, as were the restarts (oh, wow, green flag action!) and all of the post-race interviews were shown too. The broadcast ended about 18 minutes before the next show was scheduled to begin.
