They suddenly figured they needed to wait til the last lap to make moves. That's what killed the racing off.

I think the worst part was knowing this package easily allowed for runs and passing, and they just didn't.

Interesting thing I noticed at 30:21, he cuts his engine once they get to the caution flag, and coasts around to the pace car. I can understand the fuel saving benefits but didn't think that'd be that important in the Clash, certainly not more than the risk the engine won't refire.

[edit]He does it after taking the chequers as well, they must really want to save that engine.
