So when Vettel is out of the competition, Kimi can challenge even Lewis Hamilton on superior car for pole position. Interesting.

Bottas' car has Been down on boost since he stepped on the path of Hamilton's 4th title.

Bottas > Hamilton

Kimi > Vettel

For that matter:

Vandoorne >>> Alonso

hammy had some pretty shitty luck at this track last year. most of lewis' troubles this year were at the beginning of the season, so i'm sure he's relieved to finally have a stretch of good runs

sucks for the championship battle tho

this is THE chance for Kimi to finally take another Ferrari win - more than 8 years since his last in Spa.

I don't see any reason why Mercedes should fight a non-title contender hard for the win. 18 Nice points and thus an extension of the lead should be the priority for the silver team.

Kimi's starts have been good as of late, and the pace is definitely there to make a win happen.

Fingers crossed - I think tomorrow will be the day!

Unless Merc found the silver bullet, they won’t have the race pace tomorrow. Red Bull looked even a bit stronger than Ferrari, so maybe even just a fourth place for Hamilton? Vettel should be able to get to the front quite quick since you can overtake in Sepang. With some alternative strategy he might even battle with Hamilton for fourth. Merc was over one second off the pace yesterday during the race simulations.

we just need a piece of Kimi front wing rubbing Hamilton rear tires and then no championship contenders going for victory

Willing to bet this is in Ferrari's briefing to kimi tomorrow

They have to get Kimi up in Lewis' face and pressure him, even if he doesn't get 1st they'll need him to keep the pressure on Lewis to invoke a 2016 championship losing-esque engine failure (the only thing that kept Lewis from the title last year, no doubt at all it was just the engine failure, nothing else at all, just the engine failure, Lewis Hamilton 2016 World Champion-Engine failure at Malaysia, DO YOU SEE!!)

If Kimi gets by in turn 1 (and Lewis would be wise to keep his eye on him to make sure he isn't nerfed in turn 1) then it'll be backing up tactics for the rest of the race
Expect the kimi Safety Car train to begin operation if he gets to turn 1 in front

I am 100% correct in all my predictions so far, so this will definitely happen, just watch.
:innocent:

If...sorry, forgot my role here, I mean WHEN Kimi leads after first few corners, Mercedes is going to go all engine saving mode to secure Hamilton's 2nd position finish. Red Bulls will be too eager to win it, so they will just crash out themselves.

After the race, we will listen the best music that there is. The Finnish national anthem. That's the best music. That's what we will be listening to. On every Sunday from now on.

Normally I'm very much into fair play, but I really really would like this to happen.

I am going to miss Sepang :(

Decent track, and first time on the calendar in 1999 - the year I started watching F1.

Me too. It's such a nice track the straights and the super fast corners, the palm trees, rain, I would've loved to get to see a race out there.
