I'm able to watch today's action, so obviously it's sunny and the track is DRY

Damn that wickens, around the outside of Farfus at the chicane, brilliant move, then ceases the lead from Wittman at the first corner

Damn fine racing atm :8:

And rain tomorrow. 100% definite, so much rain, all over the track, red flag the race now German Charlie.

omg that would be amazing :flag:

If they could get the Sachsenring somehow as well, DTM would actually be making good decisions about the calendar

Surprising it's taken so long for this to happen, I wonder if with Mercedes leaving there is going to be more effort to get cross pollination between the series

At one point they were going to go with a similar rule set weren't they?

Yeah, but they didn't find common interest for some reason.

Just bring back Group A rules with some slight adjustments. DTM, SuperGT, WTCC, Supercars and if we expand a little SCCA, VLN and GT4 aren't so far from each others.

Would be great to see events like Bathurst 1000, Spa 24h, Nürburgring 24h, Macau and Sebring 12h on same calendar or at least driven by cars with same specifications.

Sure, Sierra domination followed by the Godzilla with attempted World series with wrong timing (not helped by the soon following economical depression) didn't help gr.A to live too long, but the rules were great to produce great consumer cars. Both Gr.A rallying and racing did create great legendary cars.

I'd love to see today's Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Aston Martins, Toyota GT86s, Volvo S60s, BMW M4s, Subaru Imprezas, Alfa Romeo Giulias, Nissan GT-Rs and Audi RS4s fight it off for the same piece of real estate. Leave the new set of rules open for power source just enough to make it possible for BMW i8 and Tesla Model S to enter too and we suddenly have a series that could lure a lot of manufacturers in.

Hell, just look at the list of Gr.A homologated cars and tell me that you wouldn't want to see modern version of this?

Group A wouldn't work today. many manufacturers don't support production based touring cars like they did 25-30 years ago.

thankfully we have TCR today...

Great racing and they instantly ruin it by investigating it...
