Yeah except there's sponsors, employees to consider... Oh and the team is a feeder team for Joe Gibbs so I don't think the coach would allow it. But keep trying to convince people you have big balls Kyle.

That would be a stupid move on Kyle's part. His Truck team has been such a great development ground for promising young drivers. They just won the series title with William Byron last year and could very well add another one with Christopher Bell.

This is Kyle we're talking about here. He doesn't care about anyone but himself unless there's a PR opportunity.

It's Kyle's business, he can do whatever the fuck he wants. tbh I don't blame Kyle. He's in it for the fun, and if you're not having fun, what's the point? I know it's hard to comprehend, but Kyle being in a truck has A LOT to do with his team's success. He's a draw for crowds, merchandising, sponsors, and how do you think those KBM trucks are so dominant? His input driving the truck and working on the chassis and setups and all the data collection is vital. If he's not in the truck, none of that matters. Kyle is a racer and wants to race, and for that everyone hates him. "BUT HE WINS ALL THE TIME!". He wins all the time because he's fucking great. I bet if you ask anyone that races in the lower series, none of them will say they don't want to race Kyle. He's the benchmark for everyone. If you beat Kyle, you're a goddamn hero.

Yep, he's so fucking great he resorts to running underweight cars in the ARCA Midwest tour to win.

I'm not going to jump into the debate about Kyle's talent because that's a different subject. I personally don't like him but think he has amazing talent. But no, Kyle can't do whatever the fuck he wants. There's way too many moving parts to a race team and it's still a business. If anything he would probably sell it to JGR, something similar to Harvick selling KHI to RCR. JGR uses KBM as a feeder organization while supplying tech support and engines. So again, I think JGR would not allow that to happen.

So you think Kyle is going to shut his team down and burn down the facility and all of the equipment? He said you won't see a KBM truck on the race track. Of course he'll sell the fucking team. If Kyle wants to get out of truck racing, that's his decision.

Ok clearly I did not say that. But Kyle said he'd "shut down KBM". I'm only commenting off of what he said. He seems to think if there is no more KBM or Kyle Busch in the Trucks, that will be a big blow. And as I said, and you agreed, he would most likely sell KBM to JGR and Gibbs would run developmental drivers in those trucks with some of their Cup guys so really what is Kyle accomplishing in the end?

Shutting down KBM is not not selling the team, that would be massively stupid and Kyle would never recover financially. Kyle would sell the team and place the burden of running an organization in a sport he no longer has any interest in investing into anymore on someone else.

Well that shows you how much I pay attention to the Truck Series these days. My apologies to the actual defending Truck Series champion Johnny Sauter.

So the start finish line is the overtime line now

Hmmm, that gives us approx half a lap more racing.

Not sure if the location of the line was the problem or NASCAR deciding to hold off throwing yellows to make sure they cross it to bring the race to an end.

They'll probably still do that.

So it's back to how it was before where the white flag ends it?

Yeah. Though I assume they've kept the unlimited attempts wrinkle.

Better than ending on a fake green to the overtime line on the backstretch, at least the fake green just to end the clusterfuck will last enough to provide some racing and fight for the win.

NASCAR removed Kawartha out of the Pinty's Series schedule due to management issues. Season finale will now take place at Cayuga.

Now they can just make it a standard policy to hold off throwing the caution until the leader has reached the start/finish line, and we're basically back in 2003 before all this stupid shit happened.

Lol

Actually, more like the first GWC rule, except some times where we had a yellow right after the restart, which is great to see it adressed. But not with unlimited attempts, it may just take some time until we go back to the 3 GWC tries again.

Maybe if everyone keeps complaining, NASCAR will also re-reconfigure the championship system back to a cumulative, season-long points method that they can save face on by pretending it's somehow an "update."
