I'm not angry. You are.

Do not confuse concern for anger. The "suck it, you lost" attitude really isn't a good one when we're talking about the future of our country. It's good for sports, not for this.

Ok, I see your point. And I apologize to Chris. I keep trying to tell myself that I'm the only Republican on a Democrat heavy forum, and that I should just not say anything when anti-Trump/anti-Republican remarks get said. I'll do my best moving forward.

So, carry on. Back to NASCAR, I'm nervous, yet cautiously excited to hear what these race format changes, if there are any will be.

There are a few conservative leaning people left on here. I'm not as much as I used to be, but I'm not really liberal either.

That's not what I'm saying. You can say something, just do so in a mature manner, not with a "suck it, you lost" attitude.

This is why we've literally lost political discourse to this, on both sides of the pond.

You literally cannot make any kind of point now without the worst kind of tribalism, especially if you're not agreeing with anything Trump says.

Just try posting something not 100% positive about trump on social media, you'll be bombarded with pictures of liberal tears mugs and t-shirts for a while even before someone tries to insult you based on the actual point you made.
I've even seen pro-trump people get it just for saying they didn't like his tie/car/hat whatever minor thing they were mentioning that day.

It's not politics any more, it's like a cult. Sadly one in which both sides try to outdo each other by being the shittiest human beings possible.
Look at this, it's a NASCAR thread and it's changing from Team/driver loyalties to politics again, it's literally infecting every single thing with it's shittiness.

(And, personally, I come to sites like this to get away from the "real world", don't think I've posted more than one or two posts in the politics thread, it's either boring or depressing and nothing in between)

Anyway yeah, rant over....NASCAR thread huh? :p

How about we take this conversation to the appropriate sub-forum where we can battle to the death with foam covered pheasants?

Yeah, as intriguing as this is, we really need a lot of fixes to accompany the cool ideas to make a difference.

NASCAR needs a couple more road courses, but oval road courses are usually a bit meh. Be interested in seeing a layout.

Yep, no elevation change.

The Charlotte road course has some pretty decent elevation change and the corners are uneven too, not flat bends like most infield roadies.

This one does but that's because it goes outside the oval rather than using the infield.

True and I think turn 2 is even banked. They redid the road course a few years ago. My problem is you probably won't see any passing on the oval which they basicall use 98% of.
