Hell of a lucky result for Rosberg, he's been junk all weekend then whatever dirt or gravel that was causing literally everyone else to go slowly seemed to have been cleaned up by the time he was last over the line to start his lap.

He'll be under pressure tomorrow no doubt.

Nice to see Nico finally hook it all up together for that final Q3 run. I don't think he'll be under too much pressure tomorrow and will be fine with another damage control P2 result.

Joan Villadelprat has just said on MovistarF1 that the mapping of Rosberg in the last lap was the one Mercedes was using before Sepang (more aggresive) and Hamilton used a more conservative one.

NOTE: Yes, it's suspicious that improvement, BUT, the improvement was based on the cornering sector and not on the first one (of straights), where he lost the 2 tenths to Hamilton.

LMAO this post from someone who hasn't actually watched a full race in about 3 years

9 other cars couldn't improve their times at that point, but Nico did. Noticing that doesn't make me massively biased, just someone who had their eyes on the damn screen at the end of the session
But yeah, Lewis is the devil because: reasons. Waaah.

When Nico wins I'll congratulate him, I'd just prefer he did it at the final race, preferably at the final corner. Is that such a crime?

Go back to the weather radar.

the final race will be good only if Nico crashes Lewis in the closing stages of the race to win the championship. It's Abu Dhabi, is hopeless to provide a good championship decider

So when Nico managed to improve on conditions that noone else managed, that makes him lucky? Give me a break please.

It seems like an obvious fact that Hamilton has the pace over Rosberg this weekend, and that he will take an easy and boring win if he has a good start.

I think at least one Red Bull wil beat Rosberg.

Unless Rosberg gets "lucky" . . .

If you watch Lewis's onboard, it's a slightly scruffy lap - a couple of lockups, a missed apex or two; it's not that surprising Rosberg was able to get closer. A cleaner lap in the fastest car on the grid, even if nobody else is improving, could easily see him gain positions as it did. Not much more to it than that.

Rosberg has been struggling this weekend and others look potentially stronger/more comfortable for the race, so we'll see how it goes.

As Ferrari goes even further south Vettel is becoming insufferable with his bitching and moaning...or was he always like this?

Of course he was, we just haven't seen it a lot when he won everything in the Red Bull.

He's not as special as I thought he was.

when he was at Red Bull, the team moaned for him

at Ferrari he can't blame the car or he would end like Prost

Is the race in one or two hours? The formula1.com website changed the starting time because of the winter time in central europe.... It was 20.00, now it says 19.00. Argh.. I hate this useless time change.

It's not useless. The weekend is one hour longer.

a win for Hamilton and a fourth for Rosberg, brings Hamilton right back in contention. So that's what I'm hoping for today.
