It's the most popular driver award, not the who runs and finishes the most races award.

If Dale Jr wins the popular driver award despite missing 1/3 of the year it might be the biggest joke of the year

Well, Dale Sr won the award in 2001 despite running only one race.

<< must resist and not say he didn't even finish that race either... Oh...

Not even true, there was the Bud Shootout and the Twin 125s so he finished at least 2 races IIRC ;)

I left school in '97, you make me feel old :(

It's really awful when you put on a song that you remember listening to a lot and realise it's 20+ years old. Adulthood blows.

I entered my senior year of high school in 2002. Just the mention of this makes me feel old.

When I was 14 I was on the Sierra Nascar Racing forums complaining about how the cars couldn't flip and you couldn't paint the c-pillars. My memory is pretty blurry but I reckon Mitch's posts are a hell of a lot more mature and less annoying than mine were back then.

We were all pretty bad posters back when we were younger. It's always interesting to go back to older posts and cringe.

I remember when I was 14 and didn't feel the urge to comment in every single thread. I'm 26 now and know that quality is much more appreciated than quantity.
