Forti 96? I don't remember how many races they did in these colours but not a lot.

Four in total - Spain through to Britain. They turned up in Germany but IIRC didn't come out of the garage.

The colours were changed after they were taken over by the Shannon Group.

Shannon were a con. Forti had actually improved before the tie up with them and it spelled the end.

I remember Trulli raced under their colours in German F3.

Edit:

Found this about the Shannon Group

The same Forti during the BOSS GP at the Red Bull Ring last weekend ... although now fitted with an Judd V10 engine and without Shannon sponsoring. In the background the Benetton B197 also with Judd V10 engine Image

Nice spot! Whoever used to run the Three sisters circuit had a yellow one of these available for 'F1 Experience' drives - the term used loosely, of course. I entered a FFord scholarship there two years in a row and the finalists got to drive it. Around what is quite literally a kart circuit.

Oh, and it had a silencer on the exhaust :yuk:

You mean "Indy doesn't give you a second chance. You have to earn it." part? Thanks!

It's something that I posted on this forum after 2011 Indianapolis 500, when Hildebrand had his infamous last corner crash and lost the race. Someone said he'll get another chance...

When it come to Indianapolis 500, the race choses the winner that is worthy. The winner really needs to earn his place on the Borg-Warner Trophy.

One of the best fights. Hill on rain tyres, Schumacher on slicks.
Probably we will never see any of this fights again. Because of tyres, and the strict rules about defending your place.

Spa 1995.

it's because Schumachers blocking moves on a much faster Hill were seen as unsporting, that talks began about what was "defending your position" and what was "being a dangerous asshole".

Schumi was a complete douche that race. He even got reprimanded for that, which may be the first reprimand for blocking in F1?

Schumacher was given a one race ban suspended for four races, but appealed. I don't know what happened with the appeal, whether it was dropped or the punishment was downgraded.

After the race Hill said the fight was fair apart from one moment when he felt Schumacher intentionally drove into him. When you watch the fight again (and listen to Murray Walker's commentary), Schumacher is constantly moving to defend his line multiple times a lap.

I'm surprised this race doesn't get discussed more tbh; Schumacher really did push (and cross) the limits of what was acceptable. I think the lack of a punishment probably led to the start-line swerves etc.

He was already doing that in 1994

Nah, he clearly just accidentally lost traction by accident. It was wet, wasn't it :whistling:
