When does qualifying start? They're practicing all week when I can't watch due to work, now I'm home and no track action. You'd think they'd be on track all Saturday when people have time to watch it

Qualifying started a while ago, they're a third of the way through.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Dixon's last lap looked a little sketchy from his onboard.

Townsend Bell hit 242mph heading into turn 1 during his run. That's pretty freaking fast.

Not sure where you're getting them from because our graphics are in Km/h

Seems like some form of blasphemy for the Indy 500

Seems to be a big delay between the US broadcast and BT Sport, like over a minute

Still, I asked the UK commentators if BT Sport's coverage has been extended to cover the extra time in qualifying today and they said it has :)

The car really seemed stuck to the track as she spun, that is good :)

Domed Skid debate begins on the coverage.

TBF I don't think that crash would've caused any kind of air in any configuration, the cars usually take are when they spun at higher speeds at the end of the straights (and had a wall smack at higher speeds too)

That would've just been a spin even with the last generation of cars

And the same for Rahal on his second lap.

Dunno if it's the sun or the tail wind on the frontstretch but T1 is getting very edgy now.

Interesting to see Sage Karem running two different styles of sidepod.
