As a package, the swap can either go really well or really badly. There's not much middle ground.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I guess it'll be the first time since 1973 that two cars will run different numbers

I will tell you what will happen. Kvyatt will do better than Sainz, so no reason keeping Sainz. But why keep Kvyatt either, given he was already demoted. Perfect excuse for Red Bull to ditch the daughter team.

That only works if there's a buyer. If Alfa didn't want Sauber for whatever bargain-basement price Monisha's flogging it for, they won't match what DM will want for his team.

Speaking of which: Jean Eric Vergne tested the 2014 Ferrari two days ago and is now part of the Ferrari Clan, apart from very good showings at Formula E. I wonder if they tested him as a Kimi replacement for 2017.

The list of drivers that got cut before reaching F1 will easily get you there.

That's a long line of people who probably want to punch Helmut Markko.

Some career knackered by Markko for sure, but on the other hand at a certain point 5-6-7-8 years ago everybody and his mother was part of some Driver Development Programm at McLaren, Williams, RedBull, Renault, Toyota etc. etc. etc.

Max's (old) race engineer has been sacked by STR.

Monisha is back to begging Silenna for another advance.

Apparently he had a blazing row (in public) with Franz Tost in Russia after he (and Max) went against the team tyre script in qualifying.

I really wonder what kind of driver Max will be. It really seems like he was spoiled through his carreer so far, always getting things even before he really needed it. And most of the time spoiled kids don't become the most likable...

Just what I have been thinking for a while. Given the lack of money they clearly have, making the long trip to Monaco and then an epically long trip to Baku will just be too much.
