Awesome Dega! Missed that fever for a while but this race proved me wrong. Also heard something about Kenseth having a go at Logano at the care center? Park that miserable dick. After last year they should park him for anything else than racing the line.

A few laps before the wreck, Logano did push Kenseth right out over the apron on the back straight, which I assume is what Kenseth took objection to.

Must have missed out on that one, thank you for clearing that up :D

Had my DSLR with me on the Saturday, I didn't take many pictures as I wanted to enjoy the race with my own eyes than view it through my camera lens.

Cheers Joey, going to be moving to South Carolina in July. Darlington, Charlotte and Atlanta all look achieveable. Hell even Daytona could be. Espcially if I can get the tickets at the prices I got here.

Danica Shatrick.

They really should've used crash instead of shot/shit, because it's such an easy typo.

But the same typo twice in a paragraph? I'm calling fake. The article and all the aggregators I can see have "crash" in the headline.

Solution: take the plates off.
Take the grandstands down.
Take the walls down.
Don't sell tickets

Let the cars fly and have soft runaway truck/drag racing sand traps instead of any barriers.
Safer for the drivers and with no fans around to protect there's nothing hard for them to hit.

Only problem I can see with this is pit lane.
Either have shorter heat races with no pit stops or have it
Recede under the ground under green and have it raise up thunderbirds style when the yellow comes out and let drivers pit then.

Only way I can think to make plate racing safe.

Either that or accept nascar has done shit loads to make this racing as safe as it can be, under freak cicumstances yes these cars can fly but a true blowover happens seemingly once every 3 years now so accept nascar has done as good a job as possible and will always look for ways to keep these cars grounded and get over the same old blah blah every time there's a plate race that doesn't end in a blue balls finish with nascar screwing something up.

I'd much rather a race like Sunday than what happened at the end of the arca and XF races.

What a race, what a fucking race. One of those that you just keep remembering at how epic it was. 2005 doesn't come close to this one. If we only had the finish of the 2013 Aarons 499 and this would've been the perfect 10.

2005 Aarons 312 (my first Dega watched) had the same treat of rain, another epic. But the racing wasn't like this one. Those first 90 laps were awesome here already. And we still had good racing all the way to the finish. Reminds me a lot of the 2014 Daytona 500.

Didn't see it mentioned here, and no need in spoilering since it won't be on TV, but Austin Cindric won the K&N race at VIR over the weekend, scoring the second straight win for MMR. Awesome to see the local team doing so well. MMR's shop is about two miles from where I work.

Can someone build a supervillain-esque weather machine that conjures up storms and shit around DEGA so we can guarantee great racing like this every year?

Single-file bullshit would literally be a thing of the past if they have to "race to the rain" every lap.

Wasn't a good weekend for cars with names as whatever vettel has called his Ferrari this year took a beating too.

Vettel's going to buy a demo derby car and name it Kvyat.
