That would make a lot more sense, as it stops smaller pieces of debris getting through. It would have helped Massa and Senna, unlike the last one they tested.

It was great in the old days, when you could see far more of the driver in the car, and really watch them working the wheel. It was a safety issue, though. Given that we can't see much of the driver anymore, I don't really care if they slap that over the cockpit. I just want to watch some fast cars, that are difficult to drive, and give us great racing.

If there has to be a some additional protection, that's fairly reasonable. It's still open cockpit when the cameras and fans are above the race track, the halo isn't blocking the view as much as the previous solution and you protect driver from small and heavy debris. Would have helped Surtees and Wilson but also Massa and Senna as well, like De Cesaris fan said it. Not sure about wet races, but maybe you can remove the windshield for those races and keep the halo part so fogging is not an issue either. If it's same material as in fighter jet canopies, I don't see problems with glare or changes in field of view either.

Not probably the best comparison, but I mean, if you can see the pilot in these pictures, you could easily see the driver through that windscreen too.

Next season Massa will break off a fingernail and blames it on Max saying he's too young to be in F1. At the time of the horrible accident Max is well ahead of Massa ofcourse. Massa then campaigns for F1 to move to iRacing to prevent horrible injuries like this.

All the money in the world can't buy you brains, clearly.

So, if Lewis keeps this up during the season he might miss a few races and Rosberg actually has a chance to win the title......

It's better, but judging by that render...it's a shitty yellow they chose.

Respect for bringing colour to the grid!

And I'm not talking about Hamilton.

It's like a yellow Ferrari! But good work them for not overcomplicating the design with lots of... black!
