Love that FINISH. Not maybe whole race, but finish was epic.

Awful blocking by Kenseth, but I had a feeling he was screwed no matter what he did though.. just glad he didn't take out the field like it looked like he tried to do.

Nice 8th place finish by Smith.

Blaney ran well most of the race as well, just couldn't make it back up there at the end.

What, so 199 laps of barely being able to take the lead is a successful package? ok mate no worries, enjoy your shit show

You want the lead? Earn it. Fuck fake, inflated passes. Enjoy YOUR shit show if that's how we're gonna be.

But that's what I mean, people COULDN'T earn it, the only way they could take the lead is if the leader made a mistake and came off the yellow line. If he stayed on it he pretty much couldn't be passed. Maybe it's just me but I much preferred the plate racing in the early 2000's when we'd constantly see side by side for the lead, each to their own. :flag:

I agree that it was maybe a bit too easy for the leader to hold the bottom and not be passed, but Hamlin showed that you can make a move. You just really have to earn it. I found a lot of the race quite dull, but that final lap was incredible. So nice to see a plate race finish under green, without half the field getting wiped out.

Well, Martin, for lack of a better word, choked there. He had an opportunity to force denny to loose momentum and didn't take, he even said so himself.

Placing a restriction on the power of the engine automatically makes this racing fake to begin with. It was a less-than-mediocre 199 laps with a photo finish. It really wasn't a great race. Saying that the race was good is like going to the cinema, paying for a movie, sitting through 2 hours of rubbish, then getting your money back. It worked out in the end, but was it really worth it?

Race may have had more action of those Gibbs cars didn't work so hard to keep anyone from getting side by side. Hope they don't have it figured out at Talladega.

The best race of Speedweeks was Trooks.

And yes, it would've still been the best had the 16 flip blowover not happened.

Just saw the race. Boring race for 199 laps. Junior wrecked. Exciting finish but Denny fucking Hamlin won which removed anything good about it. What a waste of my Sunday evening. :(

Arguably the best car all Speedweeks won. The Gibbs cars went into today with a plan and they executed it almost perfectly. Truex is a defacto 5th Gibbs car and in his interview he so much as said that he's going to play ball with those boys to prove that they're a team player in the grander scale of things.

With that said... Plate racing has these ebbs and flows of teams. At one time, DEI couldn't be beat on the plate tracks. Then Hendrick took their turn at the top. Now it's the JGR gang.

High horsepower, high drag, low downforce is the solution. Guys need to be able to pull a single car slingshot pass.

It's annoying to see that the single car slingshot is gone that's for sure.

I miss the tango.

Great finish and great race. Love this package. No fake fabricated bullshit overtakes. "Ohh 2000 lead changes in one race, new record." Yeah Tandem-draft or that Indycar cancer piece my ass.
