Mann what is wrong with todays F1. It is heading to self distruct.
They have the race on sunday since 1950 (unless when wheather does have a word.. ). So whats wrong with that now?
They really want to kill the tradition and the sport, or whats left of it.

:slaphead: I'm speechless.
Who seriously come up with these ideas? Who? Who dares to even think of putting chicane there? I surely can't. Is there some guy who is not a motorsport fan but is instead hired to think the worst ways to ruin everything good in motor racing. Who would pay him?
Again :slaphead:

Have there been some big bike crashes at Curva Grande that I am not aware of? Also don't they need permission to cut down trees at Monza seeing as its a public park? cause if they go ahead with that then that whole section of trees will have to come down.

It may not be about the Curva Grande but rather the speed they arrive at the next corner at?

more likely to make more tarmac runoff at that curve instead of using the chicane

I am okay for an extra chicane.... But only in the shape of restoring the first turn complex last used in 1999.

On another note - Paddy Lowe says F1 is to be louder in 2016.

What about reliability? Still needs 20'ish power units this season?

anyone going to Barcelona pre-season testing here? Is paddock access possible? Should I buy general admission tickets in advance? What is the easiest way from the city centre to the track?

I'm going in March, first time for me. Tickets will be available online in February. But I hope they will be for sale at the gate too, as I don't know yet if I am going every day. Depends on who's driving.

This is your friend
http://circuitcat.com/en/circuit/comollegar.php

It's a fair old walk from the circuit to Montmeló and it's not really that pretty either. There may be buses (I'm not sure), but unfortunately the railway station is far away, which is silly as there is a line which passes just behind the main grandstand.

In terms of driving I guess it depends on what you can do and where you're staying. If you're in central Barcelona it'll be tricky but doable; the circuit is easy to access from the motorway and I presume there will be spectator parking fairly nearby.

I don't believe paddock access is available but there are guided tours at selected points which may provide paddock access.
