They need to do like Salem did and only pave one half of the track. It seemed like it really threw them a curve ball, and the quality of racing didn't suffer. It was just as good, if not better.

Wood Brothers going full time in 2016 with Ryan Blaney. Very cool! No time like the present, I guess.

Gaddamn Brian France has said the word "quintessential" 4 times in this current Q&A session with the media, and once to reiterate that Joey's move on Matt at Kansas was... wait for it... quintessential NASCAR.

I love this sport and I'll defend it when I can, but holy shit, SHUT UP.

That's what it basically is now, isn't it? I would say if they're going full time that Penske most definitely had a lot to do with it. He's got a future winner in Blaney, and he's being smart to keep him in the fold this way.

Better for the Wood Brothers. Roush wasn't doing shit for that team.

Roush-Fenway Racing has to be one of the most glorious collapses of a NASCAR team since DEI.

Or RYR.

Well, it hasn't been a pure Wood Bros effort since the Roush partnership anyway so might as well go whole hog with Penske if it lets Blaney race full-time in top equipment. He deserves it.

I don't understand RFR at all... they are established, have plenty of financial backing... wtf is wrong there?? RYR was slowly dying over an extended period of time. DEI lost their owner, their face and their direction. Roush was winning races just a couple years ago and now are back markers outside of the occasional Biffle top 15.

I think Jack Roush has dementia or something...he has seemed pretty clueless in the last couple years and that's reflected on his organization. Also haven't been the same since they became Roush-Fenway. Can also blame it on their roster, a has been and two wrecking balls won't get you positive results. Time to get Chris Buescher and Bubba Wallace and Brett Moffitt to Cup, can't see them doing any worse than the current RFR lineup

Roush started their collapse after Carl's tie in 2011 and it went into freefall after the G6 car came along.

Brian France also said that originally he wasn't for the knock-out chase system, which I found interesting. I guess not all of the bad ideas flow directly from his skull?

Brian France's fascination of the word "quintessential" reminds me of the time DW went through his "co-opetition" phase
