The first onboard lap of the remodelled Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez

should have kept the original esses, they were a good challenge

Quoting you, but this is addressed to many guys here: Y'all being a bunch of close-minded, grumpy fucks.

We love a sport that's goddamn expensive. So much that few of us fans ever have the chance to live their passion, bar a few occasions a year on the kid's version of it (4-knot rental karts, REAL RACIN' woooo).

It's a rich man's sport. It requires money. Deal with it. The FIA is European-led. The FOM as well. They fix the rules, they're the reason venues cost so much to the host countries, and the reason any new tracks are expensive and don't reflect the local scenery but are merely a cookie-cutter Tilke car-park on a flat barren land.

Europe doesn't want F1, for money issues, for public opinion issues (sound, not eco-friendly, taxpayers money to cover the losses).

The worst comment is this:

Quote:
To maintain F1's European spirit. Isn't that obvious?

"European spirit". A tangible thing that exists. Such open-mindedness.

Bernie says F1 could be sold "this year" with three serious parties interested in taking ownership. A few thoughts:

1 - as long as CVC is taken out of the picture
2 - as long as Bambino and Bernie are taken out of the picture
3 - as long as the prospective owners have interests in the sport

Are any of these three too much to ask for as an F1 fan?

The same group that tried to enter F1 with old Prost cars? Why them?

Selling will only make things wors, unless they are hardcore fans. CVC milked f1 and new buyers see those returns and likely want more. That's the only reason for buying, to make a big profit.

Bernie will go until he will die. I think everybody will still listen to him when he is senile, because he already may be senile for the last decade. Nobody would notice the difference.

Justin Wilson charity auction going on on eBay.

http://stores.ebay.com/Celebrity-Charit ... ial#bidnow

Apparently some people are willing to pay top dollar for Max Verstappen's race overall.
Current bit is $20.200
next highest item is Lewis Hamilton's overall for only $5598

Wonder if its mainly Dutch rich fucks bidding or also people from other countries.

I hate these kind of auctions. There are things that I would like to buy too, I just can't afford to give a year salary. It's always the rich people who get the good stuff. And probably know enough of silly law rules to make sure they get most of the money back from taxes.
