He just gives off this.. vibe that makes me not able to stand him, along with the cowboy hat.. weird I know, hence the irrational part.

Oh yeah, I have no problem with hating him for his personality and cowboy hat. That's a rational enough reason for me. I am just really confused by Pretzel's claim "Austin Dillon is the most overrated driver in NASCAR IMO" because I can't even remember the last time I've seen somebody actually say anything good about Dillon, on this forum or otherwise.

The lack of road-ringers is unfortunate.

Why? They haven't done shit in a Cup race on a road course in years.

I'm not a huge fan of Austin Dillon, but to be honest, I find him one of the most anonymous drivers out there. Seemingly always around 10th - 20th and never standing out. From what I've seen, Ty looks like the better brother, but I haven't really followed the other series well enough to know if that's true.

Anyway, I'm not sure how you can call anyone but Danica, 'the most overrated driver in NASCAR.'

But woo, road course!

I firmly believe his entire career has been all car no driver. :flag:

I'm sure most of you know how I feel about RCR equipment and how it's actually better then Hendrick and Penske, and Austin's basically had that his entire career and pretty much has done little in that equipment.

Also he's prone to make overly aggressive mistake in places he should never have (Daytona 2010) (Dega 2014) and doesn't really seem to learn from them.

I'm no Dillon fanboy but I will say that I was at least SOMEWHAT impressed with his win at Eldora.

It makes perfect sense. That's how Harvick managed to immediately become dominant when he left RCR for a Hendrick customer team.

It's only really shown at the end of last year and this year, but when you look at there driver line up (including NXS and their other teams such as Germain and Furniture Row), you can tell the motor department is definitely stepped up there game.

The Dillons get a pass from me, only because we got tickets to Pocono/hotel/pre-race pit passes through one of their sponsors.

That buys them a year without scorn from me, 2 years tops.

Anywho, could be another Schrader weekend. :)

None of the Kimmell Cars are on yet. So I assume they will be later.

They have been added, 28 cars on the entry list for the ARCA race now, which is much better than the last two years (21 and 23 cars, respectively). I'll be up there this weekend. Probably will hang out in one of the turns, but it seems like when anything happens at Winchester I'm on the other side of the track.

The only thing that annoys me about the Dillons is the "silver spoon" thing. I'm sure they have some driving ability, but I've heard how they went and got their own sponsors starting out, I'm sure it was made much easier when you can say "My grand-dad owned the car Dale Earnhardt drove in NASCAR." versus your everyday average joe who can't say that.

Objectively speaking I can't hold their social status against them. They had no involvement in being born into an existence of wealth and community-specific advantage. Their personalities are annoying though. And I have to admit, Ty seems more tolerable than Austin.

Austin Dillon just got way too much attention in the lower series, using the number 3, being Childress grandson and leading the championship with a bunch of top6, winning with a fake caution final, and the cup teammates pointing the fingers at them. Then the cowboy hat.

Ty seems like a pretty decent driver.

Does the Goodyear blimp still fly over cup races? I might have seen to going over Sacramento earlier today heading in a West-ish direction.

It does for some races, not all of them though (big races such as Daytona, depending on weather). It was up in Sacramento for the US Senior Open according to the website and they got a west coast tour currently (was in North California/Oregon/Washington the last few weeks for the US Open as well)

I know Goodyear didn't do all of the races in the late 2000's as I know I remember seeing a DirecTV blimp for one of the Cup or Busch (Xfinity, Nationwide, whatever) races at Charlotte.
