Right front went, something either at the bottom of the upright, or in the pushrods.

Car getting on its side was pretty much the same thing that happened to Conor Daly in 2013.

And if you want to go back further Bobby Rahal at Motegi in 1998.

No, it didn't look like he was moving when the safety crew got there & they haven't shown the accident scene on the video since which is kinda concerning.

Right front pushrod broke, or the something on the swing arm/damper broke in the right front. The onboard tells the tale.

You could see the RF suspension completely unload from the onboard. I thought that might have indicated a left rear failure (given the diagonal nature of the forces) but the T3 camera angle doesn't seem to show anything happening to his left rear. That's a strange one because it seems like Indycars typically have suspension failures in the rear (when they do occur).

Hard to tell from the onboard, but he got close.

sennadesilva Front right suspension just broke when Hinch was at turn 3 and he went straight into the wall as you can see by images, then gets some air like Conor Daly in 2013 and ended in T4. About practice. It was clean, and many drivers were testing. I think there was one yellow for debris or other little thing

Thanks for the info everyone! Glad he's at least awake and alert. I'd assume at this point they wouldn't let him race just cause of the concussion issue, even if he has no other injuries but hopefully this is all just precautionary.
