Going back to my buddy's house for derby day. We'll start off watching the Xfinity race, I'll be snortin Oxy and doing more Tequila shots, and by the time the derby rolls around I'll be feeling real good. Then we'll probably move on to doin Incredible Hulks and making suicides with whatever the hell he's got on the shelf. Never gonna make it to Mayweather/Pacquiao

Getting my car fixed, sitting in the waiting room. ABCs good morning whatever show just talked about the arca crash. The 30 second clip of replays they showed didn't even include the impact with the inside wall.

He is very, very lucky that is the only injury he had. Thankfully he hit a SAFER Barrier and all of the safety equipment did their job or else this could have been a lot worse.

Yeah that was a really hard wreck and he kept going for a fair while before stopping. Probably knocked out?

Not necessarily. The first hit with the 98 probably killed the brakes and his steering ability. So at that point the front is kinda just like a metal sled; it'll stop when there's no momentum left.

It did seem rather erratic after the hit and that explains it somewhat

Watching that wreck had memories of past wrecks rushing back, for no reason at all:

Cars hitting the wall more times than necessary:

Cars hitting the wall so hard it bends the other side of the chassis:

ARCA backmarkers having unusually memorable accidents:

Good thing there's all that pavement to slow him down.

Seriously, everything had to work out there or we would have lost him. His hit was like Joe Weatherly's but MUCH faster.

The groups quals at the plate tracks were dangerous, but doing knockout quals with only one car at a time is 3 times more boring than the original single car format. Just do one run for each car and set the field.

I figured I'd grab some video the last 2 laps in yesterday's ARCA race since we were done pitting for the day. Pretty interesting when a car flies down pit road at 180 mph.
