we shouldn't be dissappointed, because we all know this happens everytime when it rains, i.e. they wait until it's time for intermediates.

it's no surprise, really...

unfortunately

What the heck is Williams doing. They're not really aiming for last seconds laps.

I think the initial delay was probably correct as the track was flooded in places & as Martin brundle said at the time there's no way they could run in that.

Where I think they went wrong was giving a time for that delay (15mins) considering that you have to give the teams an additional 15 minute warning before you can start the session.

I'd have delayed the start of the session but not given a time limit, Sent the Safety/Medical cars out as soon as Q2 ended & left them running to help clear the worse of the standing water & given the teams the 15min warning as soon as the heavy rain stopped because by the end of that 15min warning i'd expect the track to be perfectly drivable.

Had they done that we'd have got Q3 started 10-15mins sooner than we did.

everytime it gets wet and session / race is stopped most fans have the feeling they waited way too long to get out again.

F*cking everytime

That's good, Stevens did prove the car could get within 107%.

I agree, a team that did all the trouble to make it a 20 car grid deserves this methinks.

Mehri only missed the 107% mark by a couple of tenths in a couple of sessions despite very little running so they have at least proved as a group they're competent and fairly stable. Hope they get some decent running tomorrow.

Lol McLaren, only faster than a team who went into receivership last year and who is basically using last years car and engine, which were a backmarker.....but oh the potential! With other potential car makers seeing how utterly epic Honda's fail is, will any of them ever be tempted to follow suit and join F1? Me thinks not.

Maybe so, or maybe Stefmeister found the news to suit better to this thread. I think you make this assumption with quite light basis.

And in the end it's everyone's free choice to ignore another person on the forum if one wants to do so. I don't feel myself as a "poor sod" if someone decides to ignore me.

ffs mate

It was a joke, a light-hearted post. ;)
