Just bullshit. What kind of domestic abuse victim goes on GMA and Fox and Friends? I saw domestic abuse first hand and I can promise you in 99.9% of the cases, the victim has a difficult time even mentioning to those close to them. NASCAR needed to wait until the law proved he did this. His career is over. And I have lost my favorite driver in Sprint Cup 2 days before the biggest race. This sucks...

Guess they really didn't need to use Kurt doing the Indy 500 as a "non exempt" Chase example after all...

Blame the NFL. Their inaction for the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson situation (even tho they're not proven guilty) made the court of public opinion turn against the league. NASCAR's in a no-win situation.

100% bullshit. No one has balls anymore to call things what they are. As I type this, the castrated mules on tv are all saying good call.

So now BOTH Bushes will be out of the Daytona 500. What were the odds.

Tanner Berryhill and his team will not race at Atlanta, he tweeted this earlier.

@tannerberryhill · 5m 5 minutes ago
If you haven't noticed, the #17 is not on the entry list for ATL. My team has been in such a financial crunch for so long.. 1/3

@tannerberryhill · 5m 5 minutes ago
and missing the race at Daytona sent us over board. The new qualifying format killed any chance we had of racing this year.. 2/3

@tannerberryhill · 4m 4 minutes ago
I plan to work hard to find sponsors, but until then I will not be racing unless an opportunity allows me to do so. Thanks for the support.

The Cup entry list is pretty surprising because I don't remember the last time where the second race of the season had only 1 fewer car entered than the Daytona 500.

Derrike Cope just posted this on Facebook about the qualifying format
Quote:
This past weekend was a critical blow to myself and our entire organization. I am truly upset for all of our sponsors, Charliesoap, Trayvax, and SWAE who had great expectation for this years race at Daytona. I was confident with our preparation as well as what engine and equipment we took there to be ready to perform. As we showed in our practice times the car had the speed to compete well and I felt the only issue would be the new qualifying format that NASCAR implemented just a few days before the biggest race of the year!
I cannot express how mad I am for the pathetic way the qualifying procedure was handled. In short some of the more notable teams in our race tried to manipulate the system (which they had all been sternly warned against) thus forcing us and others to run alone which would prevented us from producing a lap time fast enough. They in turn crashed which further undermined our ability to utilize one of our provisional starting positions.
I feel extremely bad about not being able to run the race for Charliesoap who was our Primary Sponsor and really put us in a position to be there. All I can do is try and find the means to move forward and get Charlie Soap the exposure that they deserve.
