Would be hilarious if maybeee she gets a test run (or a friday drive only) and the Mail have blown it out of all proportion because they have no idea how F1 works?

Given how it looks like Alonso is off to McLaren, Who would you put alongside him?

As much as I like Jenson, I think I'd go with Magnussen as I just see him been the better long term option. I also believe he's got a lot of potential & will only be better next year given the experience gained through this season.

I'd miss the random shots of Jessica though :(

It depends who gets to choose doesn't it?

If Mclaren choose it'll be Kevin (or Stoffel...)

If Alonso includes a say in team mate choice in his demands, it'll be Jenson...

Based on how Alonso not getting his way was a large part of his unhappiness last time he drove for them, I reckon his opinion will at least be considered.

Jennifer will not be shown, as well. I guess we'll have to settle for Geri Halliwell, from now on. I always thought her to be pretty in the Spice Girls notoriety, maybe she's not that beautiful anymore but that's what we'll get :D

When Vettel announced he would be no longer with Red Bull, I was pretty sure Alonso was off to Mclaren as I couldn't see Seb signing with them knowing Alonso would be there. But this whole 3rd car thing might have triggered doubts in Alonso's mind and he may be hoping/expecting to get a seat in either Mercedes or Red Bull.

that was a dirty one by Schumacher. However, he deserved the title that year.

Did anyone catch this, or better yet, capture it and is able to upload it? Couldn't find it yet on the usual sites.

Super interesting interview with Mark Arnell, the personal trainer of Kimi (and Mika in the past):

Meh. After Senna's death Schumacher established himself as the quickest driver but there will forever be lingering doubts around the legality and ethics of Schumi, the Benetton team and that year's car.

After Senna's death Hill stepped up from clear number two status and carried the team into contention for both titles while dealing with internal pressures and politics, not to mention Schumacher's media games and ontrack antics.

Both deserved the title.

If Schumacher didn't get that bogus disqualification in England (passing Hill on the pacelap but gave it back and happened all the time) and the bogus 2 race ban things would have been different already. And even the disqualification in Belgium smells.

Not that Benetton is totally clear that season however.

good lord, we're not starting that discussion again are we?

Senna should not have been penalised after Suzuka '89!

Schumacher has since said before his accident some interesting things on that whole deal. I don't think 1994 was as 'everyone' makes it out, he made a mistake but I don't think he had any time (speaking from experience) to consider taking him out, Hill made a misjudgement in his attempt to overtake but it was for the title. Had the drivers been the other way around the endless debate would be around the same subject, did Schumacher take Hill out.

What I wrote was attempting to provide a broad view on the season as opposed to nitpicking certain things. At the same time I'm not trying to suggest Schumacher did not deserve the title.

I think we all agree that the 1994 season and how it played out, and ended, has left a polarizing opinion on F1's history. Not many seasons retain that level of conjecture and discussion. And it's been 20 years.

Schumacher wasn't DQ'd for passing Hill. He was DQ'd for ignoring the stop and go penalty, which was for passing Hill. He was banned after Spa because the cars plank was worn and Benettons excuse was false.

Frankly, Benetton should've been removed from the 1994 season completely like others have been for cheating. LC/TC, fuel filters, ignoring penalties, worn planks. All one team.
