He was there with Jamie Green apparently, because Jamie's brother races in the F1's

Dammit, if he'd have come to Birmingham on Saturday I'd have said hi :p

Correct, the Brawn was a development of the SA not the previous years Honda..
The SA was a development of the previous years Honda.
Bit like Benetton and Ligier did in the 90s and then Red Bull and Torro Rosso.. tooing and Froing with info between teams..

A friend of mine worked at SA at the time and it was their work ..
In fact I have a bit of the car in my loft somewhere...

It was designed by Zander and Bigois, who never worked for SA. The previous years Aguri (SA08) was a Honda RA107, so if the car was based on the SA08, that's still a Honda. And the 2009 cars were drastically different from the 2008, so I'm not sure how much would even carry over.

Whilst Honda absorbed a good chunk of the SA Team, everything they got started life as a Honda anyway, so it's a bit much to give them credit for the BGP001.

My main point is that, from what I understand, one hugely successful part of the car - the diffuser - was Super Aguri invented/designed.

There's some images & other details regarding the original 2009 Honda design here:
http://www.racecar-engineering.com/arti ... -revealed/

Meanwhile Force India doing there best to be excluded from the TV coverage again (Like they were during all the Saturday running at Bahrain 2012):
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2 ... ndretti-f1
Quote:
At the same time Bob Fernley, Force India’s deputy team principal, told the Guardian that CVC had been “a disaster” for the sport. He said: “I think they have done an absolutely awful job. In my view they are the worst thing that has ever happened to Formula One. They have done nothing whatsoever for the sport.

Fuck it. I hope all the teams come out and say something like that, so we can be left with the absurd prospect of no cameras following any cars during the GP weekend. Good on Bob Fearnley.

They do that for 50% of the time already with stupid shots of people on the pitwall, in the pitbox or in the grandstands.

Agree 100% with the two of you.

Something that has always pissed me off is the ridiculous amount of non-racing coverage we get even when there is on track action. And this is not a F1 disease only, in fact, FOM is even the "less bad" on this aspect. WEC and MotoGP/Dorna are hideous with this obssession of showing useless off track footage(Well, Dorna has improved in the last few years, but it was the worst, once)

Hopefully Honda's staff, at Tochigi, has some of those inovative things to take to Woking.

My favourite MotoGP shot is when they randomly show the pits and them writing on clipboards.

I hate when the cameras show people "in anticipation" on the pitwall or in the garage, just as the cars line up on the grid. Wish they stick with the cars.

Also, although improved, I hate it when we are in the opening laps with still plenty of action going on, that they switch to replays of the start through various angles and various onboard feeds.
