You are not alone. This race doesn't matter outside its championship now. The enthusiasm for that after Daytona didn't survive intact either.

WEC should race in the "big" races as well like Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta. LMP's are the main attraction for me in sportscar racing, not those DP's.

Wouldn't be much of a "world" series then would it? No country is going to get more than 1 race and with COTA being the only real "world class" FIA style track in the States, any WEC round is always going to be there.

I'm still in two minds on the whole subject of what we had in the States up to last year and what we have now. TUSC clearly is far from perfect and some of the BOP and rule changes are utterly baffling but the ALMS was frankly a bit of a joke for the last few years. The GTLM cars were great but there were only 10 of them and all the other classes were underpopulated wastelands of shitty outdated P1/P2 cars held together with gaffer tape like Dyson's heap of junk and some one-make amateur classes with 6 cars apiece. On the other hand we had Grand-Am with a stagnant and slightly diminishing field size, ancient DP tech and a GT class filled with silly tube frame cars that couldn't race anywhere else. TUSC was the only hope for both of them and maybe after all this transition (assuming all the teams don't get fed up and leave) maybe it'll turn into something decent in a year or two. Sportscar racing has always been about swings and roundabouts with lean years leading to classic ones.

Sebring wasn't going to be part of the WEC anyway so under the ALMS it would have just been as underwhelming as this year's TUSC race will probably be, except there would have been 25 cars or so instead of 64.

I liked the ALMS too but it didn't work and it died a lingering death. I'm just glad the GTLM class survived intact.

NASCAR now owns Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta. So they won't be having WEC races at those.

Altough ALMS might have continued having P1 on a life support mode. Thus in practice opening the possibility of having at least Audi at Sebring.

I think most of this bitterness comes from above: i.e. not having P1. I don't think it would work any better than it did in ALMS ever since 2009.

Plus, why knock down Sebring, Petit, or Daytona down to 6 hours? Shit's lame.

Why did MotorsTV get different commentators for this?

MotorsTV could save so much on using unnecessary commentators and invest that in a decent signal.

I hate this Dutch duo so much.

Shut. Up.

Does the English Motors has Radio Le Mans commentary? We are freaking stuck with Dutch commentary.
