Now it's as soon as the track is dry until 12:30, then 1-4:30, then 5-9. All Eastern Standard Time. Also according to nascar.com, they are all listed as drafting sessions. Perhaps they nixed the single car efforts for the test.

I'm sure they'll do mostly single car runs. Or maybe it'll be just like a weekend practice session where it's just an open "do what you want" deal.

New track sked @DISupdates — run from time track is dry until 4:30 p.m., then 5-9 p.m.

I remember when the time between Homestead to Daytona testing felt like a year.

Also, just from watching the small amount of coverage yesterday, I guess the teams feel like the cars will be faster with the no ride hight rules and a gearing change.

That stuff doesn't apply to plate tracks (unless you weren't implying that, in which case ignore me).

I'm guessing it's single cars, top speed is in the 191mph-range.

3 car is at the top of the charts. That's a pretty cool thing to say. :)

Single cars. There are a few that have their cars prepped for doing drafting.

It amazes me they aren't streaming the evening session.

They are coming back for an hour at 7pm EST for another hour of coverage. Rusty jumps the 2 car to 12th on the list.

Rusty's run was a little faster than Brad Keselowski. Brian Scott just moved the #33 car to the top of the charts. The RCR and Gibbs cars are looking pretty strong overall thus far.

They're most likely going to do some drafting at 7pm, but it seems majority of the teams are opting out.

Dale Jr actually just said he doesn't think anyone is going to draft.

My take from the first session: The RCR, Gibbs and Penske cars look fast. Surprised the Roush and Petty cars weren't faster than mid-pack. Don't know why Jeff Burton didn't run, I know he's scheduled to test.

I believe they said in the broadcast that he was testing in Smyrna. Not sure why he'd do that unless he's helping his nephew Jeb with late model stuff.

If Austin Dillon dominates speedweeks I'm calling BS on NASCAR.

I know they've had some limited running already today but if this test was completely rained out would they reschedule?

Maybe add more time to the practice sessions during the proceedings in Feb to make up? :?

How the hell are the RCR cars so much faster in single car runs?
