The gap between the grille and the headlight, the gap was there on the '08 grille, but the '09 grille didn't have the gap.

I dunno, it just stood out to me immediately.

Anyone think Kyle's new burnout style is kind of dangerous for him? He is unstrapped and steering wheel shaft is exposed while he's standing up and working the pedals. Should his foot slip off the brake and car lunges forward during the burnout, he could impale his crotch on the shaft..

I'm sure NASCAR will eventually step in.

Ha. Entirely possible.

I also like how people are calling it "Kyle's Burnout", when the first guy I ever saw do it was Sam Hornish Jr. at Vegas. Am I wrong in assuming that was the first time it was done in the top three series? Not that it matters, but y'know.

I guess Kyle's had more opportunities to do it than Sam, so there's that.

It makes me wanna poke my eyes out. Whoever thought that the looks of that car was acceptable should've had his eyes poked out too.

Something I've always wondered, who was the first person to do a burnout after winning?

Not counting donuts I presume?

I don't have an answer, but I remember Harvick's donuts at Indy in 2003 was a big deal.

I always remember Harvick as the one who kind of started the straight line burnout thing.

Meanwhile, David Ragan was fastest in the first Sprint Cup Practice.

Either burnouts or donuts. I've started looking through some old photos now, I'm determined to find out  .

Harvick did a straight line burnout after he won at Atlanta in 2001. That's the earliest I can remember.

Our ol' buddy Steve Wallace did that in the ARCA series as well.

He probably knew he'd never get to do it at any higher level than that so gave it his all. :-)

LOL first time I remember someone doing burnouts was Nigel Mansell at Brands Hatch in the mid 80's.

Yeah, that's the earliest I've found as far as Cup is concerned.

Thank you Motors TV for showing British GT highlights all night instead of one of the most popular State-side races of the year.
