I should mention that I'm not judging the car on this at all, and I'm looking forward to how it performs on other tracks. But I'm not going to deny that I'm a big fan of the RP racing we've had in the last couple of years and I'm pretty disappointed with how this week has panned out.

Good to see some rational posts on this page. A mediocre race at the very first event of a completely new car, at a track which is completely different to 90% of the calendar, is a pretty stupid reason to write the new car off completely. And yes, when you put aside the tired Danica knocks for a sec, she did a decent job for a rookie.

Yes, NASCAR has plenty of experience with trying different plate packages and can improve it if they see a need too. I don't think we should complain about the car until we see it race at the other types of tracks. You can't judge it based on one race, not every race can be great, nor should they have to be.

I've followed the last 5 speedweeks at TBK, and somehow the consensus is always that it was shit, with maybe a last lap 500 pass to salvage.

I'm sorry, but that's just wrong. I know it doesn't meant much, but just quickly looking at the 2012 speedweeks rate thread, you gave a lower score than a lot of people in that thread. I think some selective reading might be going on here.
