I might be playing devil's advocate here, but you also know of the risks when you buy a ticket or get admission, so you kind of choose that as well. At least that's what I always keep in mind when I visit a race track... I once had a part of the left front suspension of a Superleague Formula flying over me in the paddock at Zolder, so it can always happen. Doesn't change the fact that it's always worse when fans get involved, of course.

He wasn't the only one, third from last pic also had a couple taking photos. People will take them, can't be stopped.

Don't get me wrong, such pictures will be far more graphic than the ones we saw, but aren't we looking at the some sort of photos right at this moment?

This is awful. More pictures popping up on twitter. Hope every recovers.

Also, it now seems that danica's engine is fine and it was an ignition issue. She was unaware that she could switch ignition boxes.
