No.

Chilton needs more time in the car to make up for his lack of talent.

There are rumours suggesting that Razia has either quit or been booted out. It was a last-minute decision to put Chilton in the car for the rest of the week.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Has it been mentioned? Marussia beat Caterham 3 times already. It looks like they have made some progress.
Even though it won't help much for the racing... would rather like to see one of them closer to the midfield.

Caterham flattered to deceive last year, which is an amazing failure considering they used quite a substantial portion of a Red Bull for the rear of their car plus a Renault engine. Marussia did a better job last year than they are given credit for.

This year I want to see Marussia beat Caterham.

I was about to post something related to them even without you bringing it up, but as you did, I'll pick up on that.

Looking at the times today, all old teams are separated by 1,5s. Then, from STR to Marussia, it's over 2,3s

Chilton, Pic, GvdG, Razia(or not) won't be in F1 this year, they're gonna be in a limbo, once again. It's obviously just a testing day, but it really doesn't seem like they're closing up, and tbh, given their incompetence, I don't expect any significant relative improvements from them, even with 2014 regulation's change.

On another note, please Mclaren Eletronics, provide decent equipament to the grid, ffs :p

Apparently Massa either had problems or crashed in the wet track:

Webber was also in trouble

And so does van der Garde

The Autosport article mentions tarmac replacing gravel at Club corner, Silverstone in 1998. Not sure if that was F1 induced.

and what about Paul Ricard that in 80's had those weird painted run off areas?

Is that just one of those crazy stuff teams usually use in the tests, or maybe a new protection for the tyres, to avoid wheel to wheel contact, being tested?

Just sensors. That would never stop wheel to wheel contact.

It's measuring tyre temperatures across the the full width of the tyre.

Well if they are nerf bars, then the right driver has got them on his car.

I find it 'disturbing' that Kimi's helmet this years looks like the one of Grosjean last year, and vice versa.

If Romain could harness in the agressiveness, he'd be one of the all time fastest drivers ever, imo.

Well no Paul, you're not entirely right. There was tarmac on the outside of Paddock Hill bend, but there wasn't that much. Not much at all.

I'm late to the party but for once you're wrong there was loads haha.

It wasn't laid as a runoff though, it formed part of the old circuit, but instead of pulling the banks back (which wasn't possible easily in the 70's), they tightened up the corner apex.
