Wouldn't be a fail because he would still be two places higher then he currently is.

Good point, but I still think the "bad" starting side would be soon renamed as "The Webber Starting Side", as I predict a full Fail combo of every driver starting on the left side of the grid, thanks to this slippery track.

To be honest, I love that team-things.
I loved the stories about Senna pushing Prost to the gravel and Prost still won the championship.
In NASCAR I find it funny how the drivers punish themselves.

Finally, F1 still is a teamsport and it would make no sense for Webber to win this race if Vettel could. Neither with Felipe and Alonso.
Yes, I love to cry about Vettel even when I'm German, I am an Alonso fan and I cheer for him every race since Hungary 2003, I will always be on his side, cry and smile with him.
Being a fan is nothing bad, I think everyone has the right to cheer if someone retires (like Vettel in Monza or Alonso in Suzuka), it has been like that since the beginning of the sport...
Of course, when people start to insult (like Spaniards did to Hamilton), that's way to much.
So, let's go racing and hope that the title will be decided in Brazil!

Umm...when did Senna push Prost to gravel and Prost still took the title? :o

May not be the most popular thing to do but its the logical thing to do.

Everyone is expecting the left side of the grid to be really low grip & for everyone starting on that side to go backwards. Ferrari need Alonso to move forward at the start so they need him on the clean side.

If I were running Ferrari I'd have done the same.

I don't like it, but since it's legal, let them do it. Let's see if that helps Fernando to cash the check he wrote when he said that he can close the gap to Vettel today.

I still think it's going to be difficult for Alonso to take 4th or better place if no one retires.

Mark my words, the dirty line will NOT create any sort of slower start like everyone fears.

People simply prefer trickeries when they work towards a closer fight for the champioship and/or help the underdog rather than the stronger man/team, is that difficult to grasp?

Based on what info? Field sample studies?

i'm almost certain Alonso will not Pass uninjured the first corner. That Corner to me is really tricky for a start: it's blind, it's the first time they race there and there's a lot of space. Plus he has Maldonado and Grosjean around. This is the perfect alchemy for a disaster.

Button seems to think that the practice starts will have made the two sides of the grid more equal.

Because of course, the rubber put down by a few practice starts on one side of the grid matches up with the hundreds of times that an F1 car has gone over the track on the other side of the grid.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

It would be ironic if Massa and Grosjean (now starting from 8th spot) would come out clean from the first turn while Alonso would be involved in an accident.

Nope. But is it difficult to grasp that I think people should have standards? People like to flip flop back and forward on issues depending on who is being benefited. I'm also not entirely sure Alonso should be the underdog anyway. He's had no car failures, a team focused directly around him to the point where they will openly screw over his team mate. The only reason he is not leading the championship is he drove into Kimi at Suzuka and blamed Kimi. When you ignore Fernandos comments, he doesn't seem that much of an underdog tbh.
