If you post a picture from Twitter, upload it somewhere else first, because it'll go down eventually.

let's just say that we know very little of the crash. The fact that official sources remain so silent is something that worries me.

This is the larger pic that you were going on about isn't it?

Looking at it, she's been bloody lucky.

We´ll see if she was lucky or not. So far it seems she was very unlucky.

Oh the contrary, if the descriptions are correct, she's the luckiest girl in the world, it's not even worth thinking about the implications of her being sat an inch or two higher in the car.

That's one of those freaky accident that "never" happen. Just hope she recovers.

If the ramp was up she'd have hit back of the lorry, depending on how much of a gap under it there was it could have been less damaging, or more.

And if doctors talks about craniofacial injuries, that means she still hit something. So no, we can't say she's lucky.
She will be lucky to survive, if her wounds are as bad as I can think.

"lucky" is an extremely ambiguous word.

She was unlucky she hit the ramp, that's a no brainer.

But she was extremely lucky it was at the height it was, if you don't understand why I'm saying this then I'm not going to explain it to you in detail, use your imagination.

Never having the ramp down in the first place would have been better, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Quote:
“Further to the accident involving the Marussia F1 Team’s Test Driver Maria De Villota this morning, the team can confirm that Maria was transferred by ambulance from Duxford Airfield, where the accident happened, to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

“Since Maria’s arrival at the hospital at approximately 10.45hrs this morning, she has been receiving the best medical attention possible at the hospital, which is the region’s major trauma centre. Maria is conscious and medical assessments are ongoing. The team will await the outcome of these assessments before providing further comment.

“The team’s first priority at this time is Maria and her family.”
