Can’t sleep so browsing the web. Seeing an post-qualy interview with Lewis H. Where he basically claims max ruined his set of yellows on purpose so he could start on the reds.

He does know max simply could have set a time on red while not ruining his set of yellows right?

God I hope Lewis cracks.

this whole season has been about track position - get into T1 first and/or come out after the only stop and it's all over unless there's tyre wear

Semi unrelated but can we start beating people who can’t wear their mask properly with a poop covered spiked bat ??

Looking at you Jos Verstappen

Helmut Marko is the king of not wearing a mask correctly. I swear I've seen him wear it incorrectly since Austria last year at the first race back after the break

Aren't all team members tested for covid before every race weekend anyway? If that's still being done, even for those fully vaccinated, then the mask-wearing is just to set an example for the viewers really.

The people who actually need to wear masks are the spectators stuffed in the grandstands. But almost none of them ever do.

With everything that's happened this season, I don't even want to make a prediction. Everything is set up perfectly. I still wish we were at a different circuit (Interlagos or Suzuka), but hopefully the changes to Abu Dhabi will give us a more interesting race.

Does Red Bull have the best car here? Did Max just pull out an incredible lap again? It's hard to tell because Perez and Bottas are nowhere near their team mates again. I don't think that reflects badly on Checo and Valterri, I think it shows how far ahead Max and Lewis are this season. We're witnessing something incredible, so let's just hope it ends fairly and not in the courts!

I still think that Max deserves it. Silverstone and Hungary were far more costly than anything Max has done, although I don't like the desperate moves he pulled in Brazil and the first corner at Saudi.

Funny about the discussion on the previous page.

Mazepin apparently has covid and won’t be racing.

Where have you been the past year? Vaccine does not prevent all infections. Severely reduces the rate and the severity if infected, but you can still catch it and spread it to a non-vaccinated yet, a vulnerable person, or to someone whose vaccine has lost effectiveness. Until this mess is sorted out and we reach a tie with this thing, caution is advised and that piece of cloth +some hand hygiene goes long ways.

And with millions worldwide watching who are still working from home and fearing the next lockdown will spell disaster for their job they also should show the right example

Lol, I know, my friend. I always wear a mask even now (fully-vaccinated) outside and don't even take it off to eat (I order takeout only when consuming outside food). My point was that when you've got a bubble-type scenario (every crew member tested before weekend + vaccinated), the risk isn't that high. But I just read that Mazepin tested positive, so I take back my point. :slaphead:

I still feel gutted that Rubens Barrichello never got any farewell ceremonies. But that's because we didn't know in Brazil in 2011 that it was his last race. Only January it was announced that he was replaced by Bruno Senna and he was left without a seat. Such a sad way to end very long F1 career.
Well, then there's Villeneuve's way to end a career. :p

There has been so much build up and hype, it wouldn't surprise me at all if F1 does its F1 thing and produces a dud of a race.

Barrichello did deserve a proper farewell. But I wouldn't be surprised if I heard he is still trying to get back to the field

Pretty sure the deal between C4 and Sky meant Sky got access to C4's superior editing abilities lol

Finally, all the B.S. is over, whatever happens now, at least all the endless talking about nothing has stopped

Whatever happens, try to enjoy

Posting in this future epic thread :)
