So here I was thinking, did McLaren get special dispensation from Gulf to run that livery? And all this time didn't even realize that Gulf is actually a normal supplier. Their logos are tiny and hidden at the back of the car and just get lost with its current paint job.

I wonder how much a diecast of that will cost. Knowing F1 probably €150 minimum.

Probably the highlight of F1 this year :excited:

could be better if the drivers could use retro designs for the helmets like those 70's indy 500 designs

But thank god, no double-header at Paul Ricard.

They could have gone up the motorway to Magny Cours :whistling:

I assume "motorway" is a polite way of calling the horse carriage cobble road that connect Nevers to the civilised world.

Dutch provider/broadcaster Ziggo is losing F1 starting 2022. Rumor has it a new sports channel bought the rights for 30 million. Wonder how expensive this new channel will be.

Here it was free if you have tv+internet from Ziggo and around €15/month for other providers.

Norris extents McLaren contract.

Wonder what that means for the rest of the market. I assumed some of the top drivers would like to see how things develop over at Mercedes first.

By the sounds of it Hamilton would probably have a multi year deal. We will find out how much Merc listens to external pressures, but I kind of get the feeling that George might get passed up again for another year.

Maybe moved to Aston in replacement of Seb to see if he really has what it takes. I think the fact that after two and a half years not bringing home a point for Williams is actually starting to make people in Merc question if he really is up for it. George going backwards, rather than maintaining his place (what a really great driver would be able to occasionally do) in a race is a common sight.

If I where Red Bull I'd try to pick up Russel tbh.

I dont see Verstappen as someone that demands a slave next to him like Schumacher did and Mercedes does with Hamilton after Rosberg.
He is just too indifferent for that. And if a teammate actually makes him work harder to be the #1 driver it only benefits the team more.

Not only that, it would also piss Toto off. Poaching his engine staff and then race driver? What a way to troll him.

Expecting Singapore GP to be canned within a couple of weeks. Mugello might happen again.

That 2nd red bull has got to be a poisoned chalice for any driver.

Yay, a chance of winning races, but also a car that is set up for a driving style completely unlike your own, and it will not be compromised to accommodate you at all.

Kvyat, Gasly and Albon aren't as bad as that car made them look imo. And Perez, well jury is still out if he's getting his head around the unique requirements of that machine

It might be better for George to wait to see if Williams get their shit together next year than burn brightly and for a short time being compared to max in a car that just won't suit him

Didn't realize he was that old already. Well, compared to Bernie everyone seemed to be in their 50s.
