Did anyone expect anything less. It is a typical Tilke track.

It's like "Russians have Sochi. So we have to have something identical."
Currently, the only worthy street track is Baku (along with Monaco). Even Singapore is kinda a bore.

I dunno, it has a couple of really long straights, so I guess there might be a BIT of slipstreaming a la Baku

just saw by the simulated lap that the track might have a cable car

so, how's the odds of a Mazepin emulate that Webber/Kovalainen crash at Valencia to hit a cable car?

That's what happens when you order your portrait drunk.

Characters from The Simpsons AND Disney's Aladdin? Who made that?
IMO needs a couple of Smurfs in the corner, unconscious Tintin on the floor, and maybe Uncle Scrooge serving grapes.

Yeah it's a while until F1, but I think that's sharing with Formula E?

The f1 race is being held, I think there's just a 2 week gap between every event. In 2 weeks it's FE, then another 2 weeks later F1.

One rumour they did tell me (which is now making the news here) is that Australia might get a double header (back to back races), if the COVID situation doesn't improve in Brazil.

Before anyone gets excited about a race at Phillip Island, or Eastern Creek or even Bathurst, Australia only has one Grade 1 circuit (Albert Park) so it will be a double header there.

I'd be OK with this.

Yeah that would be pretty cool, just a shame that it would be at the expense of Brazil

I'm broke AF but I'd spare a tenner if it would bring back a race at Adelaide. Even if it was a one-off.

me either 2 races at Albert Park would be tast, but one should be with changeable conditions

Feels gimmicky at the moment but if it spices up the weekend/championship and brings some excitement, I'm all for it.

So, sprint races are confirmed. The weekend will now be like thi:

Friday: FP1 and traditional style qualifying to decide the sprint race grid.
Saturday: FP2 and 100km sprint race that decides the grid for the feature race. Top 3 earn points.

I'm curious to see this format. If a driver has a problem at the start of the sprint quali, it can shake things up.

On the other hand, you have something more race alike to set the grid to the race. I can see this making the races more predictable.
