2021 post

After a 1 year layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bathurst will host their traditional Easter weekend races and the 5th running of the Hi-Tec Bathurst 6 Hour - featuring Group 3E Production Cars.

On the support card for the race weekend includes: Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia, National Trans-Am Series, MRF Excel Challenge, Radical Cup & NSW Historic Touring Cars.

Race Information:
Track Type & Length: 6.213 kilometer natural terrain street circuit
Turns: 23 turns
Race Distance: 6 Hours

A bit out of the ordinary that the some of support series (TCR & GTWC) are more high-level/pro than the main event. I guess this situation wouldn't happen on any other race track.

ARG bought the event/promotion last year, so they are using their series to fill out the weekend card

good for the production car folks as it increases their exposure massively & good for the pro-level ARG series as it gives them a 2nd shot at Bathurst outside of the Supercars promoted events.
