Then they penalize DiBenedetto for forcing Hamlin down there? That's asinine.

Wouldn't be NASCAR at Talladega without some sort of shitshow.

In a living room somewhere Regan Smith just launched his remote at the TV.

Either anything goes on the last lap or nothing does.

Did the #17 get penalised too?

I don’t like Denny either but you all are just letting that cloud your judgment if you think NASCAR got this wrong. You can’t punish drivers for avoiding wrecks and you can’t allow drivers to get away with what DiBenedetto did to Byron. That block was asinine.

Nice that Jr called out NASCAR on their bullshit yellow line rule, though.

Just get rid of the rule. Nascar says it is to prevent crashes. Which is hilarious because plate races today have more crashes than the short tracks do.

If Buescher forced Hamlin below the line, why isn't he punished too?

NASCAR's in a no-win situation here. No matter what they decide, someone's gonna bitch about it. I guess it's no surprise that I'm seeing it here and on Twitter.

Agreed with Dale Jr., however. Get rid of the yellow line rule. For years, this dumb rule causes more problems than it's supposed to solve. Just get rid of it. All it does is create more danger.

I'm curious about this as well. Turned off the tv but did they really not penalize the car that forced Hamlin below?

Still shown in 6th.

Elliott at least managed to keep two wheels above the yellow line. Hamlin went way below, he basically shortcutted.

Rules debate aside, I'm basically done with superspeedway racing with this package. It's way too draggy and it's turned every race into even more of a farce.
