this is an Osella but I get your point, I just kept the teams original timeline (apart from Renault, which could run the Benetton 1995 livery)

Yeah, this move will either make or break Albon and, judging by Marko's gung-ho attitude when it comes to P45s for drivers not called Max, it could well be the latter for Albon. He's very talented, that's clear, but is he on a similar level to Max? Or will common sense play out and being 4th/5th/6th be enough of an improvement over, well, 4th/5th/6th?

If Gasly was a consistent 4th/5th/6th finisher, I believe he would be safe, even with Max's astonishing form. But in half of the races Gasly was beaten by at least one car out of the top-3 teams. He didn't do even that. So, I don't think the bar is that high for Albon, frankly.

Benetton had more 'Benetton green' when they were sponsoring Alfa Romeo than when they ran their own team

Red Bull had asked Alonso to replace Gasly, but he refused. That would have been a surprise.

"I will only come back for a race winning car."

"Actually scratch that, I mean I'll only come back for a mercedes"

Saying that, making that up could be their revenge for him leaking that they contacted him for a drive about 10 times over his career

it's obvious he would refuse, to be second driver to Verstappen and not own the team for himself like the way he does, burning the bridges and closing the doors, plus working Honda again

I wouldn't go to Red Bull as long as their lovechild is there.

I seriously doubt Honda would have allowed Alonso in with the history there.

In 3 weeks, Horner will deny they ever talked to Alonso.

So, hypothetically speaking with 9 races to go: Max and Lewis making 1-2 at every race gets Max the championship, if he also manages fastest lap on 6 out of the 9 races as well.

I know this scenario is very unlikely, however it's interesting to note that Verstappen not only stands a mathematical chance, but one that is fully in his own hands regardless of what position other drivers finish. He "just" has to win every single race form now on and rack up fastest laps.

(Yes, we all know that Lewis Hamilton will win the 2019 F1 WDC)

Verstappen is the favorite to win Mexico due to Mercedes struggling at high altitude but the championship could be over by then

Ferrari will win spa tho and have a good shout at monza due to their prestigious top speed

If leclerc gets his first win at monza in a ferrari he'll never be able to top that feeling.
Let's hope he is rewarded for a shitty season so far with that at least
