ESPN will no longer have any motorsports reporters in their USA based operations, as Pockrass is looking for work now.

This is pretty sad to see given how much ESPN put into motorsport not long ago.

ESPN's all about Basketball (Pro and College) and MLB. Their NFL coverage is impossible and it's only one game anyway. MNF used to be awesome, now SNF has take the reign as "the" game to watch each week. Combine that with their constant blather of sports talk shows and you can see why the crowd that would be interested in their programming is probably not one that would be interested in motorsports.

It's been a long, slow fall since the glory days of Thursday Night Thunder and Bob, Benny and Ned on Sunday afternoons.

I wish NBCSN would bring back Thursday/Saturday Night Thunder. I know I'd watch, or at least DVR it if I worked late that night.

Just talking with my buddies last month and it was a unanimous opinion that we all dearly missed Thursday Night Thunder.

I kind of wish that FS1 or FS2 would consider this as well, instead of airing reruns of UFC/MMA-related programming.

Well the UFC contract goes to ESPN after December 31, so I guess FS1 and FS2 will show replays of Skip and Shannon on repeat 24/7.

Random but the last time someone who wasn’t an Earnhardt or an Elliott won the most popular driver award was 1990.

Kurt Busch is going to drive the #1 car next year, to the surprise of nobody that hasn't been living under a rock for the last several months. It sounds like this will be his last full season in NASCAR.

Why would he move to a new team just for 1 season?

Brett Mofitt is out of a ride, replaced by someone who has more funding.

Just remember folks, NASCAR ratings are down because more people are streaming the races online or some shit like that.

Speedway Motorsports Inc. has signed a deal with the Formosa's to run the Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. A race for the NASCAR XFINITY Series and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is expected to return to the facility in the near future (after a 18+ year absence)
